With the Time Advantage – Energy Rate Plan, you save money based on the time of day that you use electricity. We can generate electricity for a lower cost per kilowatt hour during evenings, nights and weekends. These savings can be passed on to you during these lower cost periods.

Economy Pricing Hours – 9.2595 cents, Winter Peak Hours – 11.2595 cents, Summer Peak Hours – 29.2595 cents

For the summer months of June, July, August, September:
To save money during the summer months, you will want to shift energy use to economy pricing periods (7 p.m. to 1 p.m.) where the price for electricity is 9.2595 cents per kWh. This means you will want to decrease energy usage during the weekday peak hours in the afternoons from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The peak price during these hours is 29.2595 cents per kWh. Minimize your electricity use during this time and save money by taking advantage of the economy pricing periods as much as possible.

Even if you are using your electricity at home during the peak periods, you can still save on your bill by utilizing these tips, when you consider energy costs over the entire year. However, you can achieve the most savings by curtailing energy use of the five major appliances in your home during the peak period.
For the winter months of January, February, March, November, December:
To save money during the winter months, you will want to shift energy use to before 5 a.m. or after 9 a.m. during the economy pricing periods where the price for electricity is 9.2595 cents per kWh. This means you will want to decrease energy usage during the weekday peak hours in the mornings between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m.
All weekends throughout the year are priced at the economy rate of 9.2595 cents/kwh.
In April, May and October, also known as transition months, you will receive all your energy at 9.2595 cents/kwh. However, there are opportunities during the other winter and summer months to save money and energy with the Time Advantage - Energy Rate Plan.
